Coloring bookmarks with inspirational quotes

Sneak peak: Four coloring bookmarks for your favorite books!

Coloring bookmarks

I love using pretty bookmarks in the books I read. And even though I’ve accumulated quite a collection over the years, once in a while, I long for something new. So I decided to combine my love of design and reading and created these simple coloring bookmarks. And I am very happy to share them with you today.

Coloring bookmarks with inspiring quotes

Wheather you are looking for coloring bookmarks for yourself or for someone else, I’ve got you covered.

For best results, make sure you print them on a cardstock paper. I used markers to color mine, but coloring pencils would probably work better for these designs.

I’ve chosen four uplifting quotes to go along with the bookmarks. My intention was to choose quotes that most of us can relate to and will be able to recall throughout the day. That way a positive thought is just one bookmark away!

Included are:

“Stay away from negative people. They have a problem for every solution.”

This is a quote by Albert Einstein. And who can be more inspiring than the 20th-century genius?

“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

It’s a famous quote by Coco Chanel. I believe that at times, all of us need to be reminded of the beauty within. Why not use a bookmark for such a worthy purpose, right?

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

It was Bob Marley who said these words. If you are anything like me, enjoying the little things and moments in life is your second nature.

“Nothing can harm you as much as your own thoughts unguarded.”

I’ve been working on changing my thought patterns for a few months now. And this quote by Buddha really hits the nail on the head!

Also, my free printable bookmarks will work perfectly as a simple gift for anyone who enjoys coloring. Just add a set of pencils or markers and voila! A cute gift for next-to-nothing!

  1. I love these! Thank you so so much! I love that you quoted the Buddha! If you do a revision at some point, (and I hesitated to even mention this for fear that it would discourage you from quoting him again, which is not my intention in the slightest) when he’s quoted, he’s “The” Buddha. I know I should shut up and be thrilled that you spelled it right 😉 but I’m a writer and a Buddhist so…I couldn’t help it. Do forgive me for being persnickety. I’m always proofreading.
The Buddha isn’t his name, it’s his title as an enlightened being. He’s not a god or anything, just a man who achieved enlightenment and taught others. His name was Siddhartha Gautama and after he became enlightened he was/is usually referred to as Shakyamuni Buddha which we use to indicate that we mean the historical Buddha (they guy who said the quote in question. :)) since there will be others. There’s no reason for you to have to remember all of that though. For all intents and purposes it’s fine to just use The Buddha. People know who you are talking about and it’s a polite and grammatically accepted way to refer to him. 🙂
I’m so happy to have found your beautiful artwork and blog. Thanks for sharing what you’ve created with so many!

  2. Thank your for these lovely bookmarks. I will color them and put them in my book journal.
