Beginning sounds cut and paste worksheets for kindergarten

I included a beginning sound task for every letter of the alphabet.

First, children have to identify the picture and say out loud the beginning sound. Then they have to cut and paste the correct letter.

And lastly, they can practice writing the letter at the beginning of each word.

You can easily laminate these beginning sounds worksheets, use dry-erase markers for the writing portion, and hook and loop dots for the letters.

But for one-time use, these will work great as cut and paste worksheets as well.

You can use my beginning sounds printables at home or in your classroom.

To download these fun kindergarten worksheets, just click on the download button at the very end of this post.

Enjoy!

  1. Hello!
These look great! I do have a concern about “xylophone” since the beginning sound is /z/ not /ks/ as in x. I feel that this would be confusing for students. Have you had issues with this when using it with students?
