Winter puzzles for preschoolers

If you are looking for some fun things to do during winter break with your kids, then my winter puzzles are definitely a great option!

They are suitable for older toddlers, preschoolers and even kindergarteners.

You will find four different puzzles you or your child can choose from.

I’ve also included two levels of difficulty. A nine-piece puzzle and 36-piece puzzle. You know your child best, so choose the one that suits her needs and interests the most.

The puzzle pieces are simple squares for easy preparation. I love using my guillotine paper trimmer and it makes the prep-time really short!

With my twins, I will definitely start with the nine-piece puzzles first. Otherwise, they would get too frustrated and not motivated to finish this fun indoor winter activity.

The pictures include penguins, hot cocoa, ice skates, and mittens.

You can make these puzzles into a cut and paste activity if you want. I’ve added empty grids so children can use some glue and stick the pieces on a paper.

Another way to play is to laminate these and use them as puzzles multiple times.

Since my preschoolers are really into the cut and paste activities these days, we will definitely use our glue sticks and paper to make these.

Either way, have lots of fun making these with your kids!

Enjoy!
