They are slightly different than regular addition and subtraction worksheets.
Instead of finding the sum or difference, children need to figure out if the equation is an addition or subtraction sentence.

Mixed addition and subtraction worksheets for grade 1
Your first graders will get plenty of practice in addition and subtraction within 20 with these free worksheets.
You will find two printable pages in this PDF. Each page includes 14 equations, a total of 28 for your child to solve.
Children will add the sign “+” or “-” to each sentence in order to make the equation true.
You can have them finish the whole page at once or choose a few equations per day.
