Free printable days of the week
My two preschoolers have been asking about the days of the week A LOT! They often ask me “What day is it tomorrow?” “And the day after tomorrow?” So I know they are starting to grasp the concept of time and changing days.
And all the talking about the days in a week also helps them memorize the days and their order.
But if you would like to take teaching the days of the week a step further, then using activities and printables is a fun idea.
Children will practice their newly acquired knowledge with some fun and hands-on activities.
Days of the week activties
You will find a total of nine pages in this free printable days of the week worksheet set.
The first page is a colorful poster you can hang in your classroom or in your child’s room. It’s good to keep a visual at hand when they are learning their days.
The next two pages include day cards you can cut out and use for your preschool and kindergarten calendar or other games and activities while teaching the days of the week. It would be a good idea to laminate these for durability.
You will also find six printable worksheets to practice this new skill. Children will work their fine motor skills with days of the week cut & paste worksheets. Make sure to have scissors and glue sticks ready for the activities.
On each page, children will need to read the days of the week and identify one that is missing.
There is also one matching worksheet to match the days of the week. This one can be used with younger students, too.
I hope these printables will make learning the days of the week a lot of fun for your kids!
More Days of the week Worksheets
