Kindergarten patterns worksheets
Patterns are one of the many topics taught during the year of kindergarten math.
I recently discovered that one of my boys has a bit of an issue with making patterns. So naturally, I decided to create this printable to help him out. I will certainly add some pattern worksheets into our learning during the summer!
I included four basic pattern sequences in these worksheets – AB, ABB, AAB, and ABC patterns.
So if you’re heading to the beach this summer or just chilling by the pool, you can sneak in some summer worksheets that your kids will actually enjoy doing!
ABC patterns kindergarten
These summer worksheets include four different patterns your children will practice.
All you need to do is download the printable at the end of this article and you’re ready to go!
These no-prep worksheets include three different activities. First, children will “read” the patterns and decide which picture comes next.
Then they will follow instructions to make their own patterns – using two or three colors and making ABB, ABC, AAB, and AB patterns. It is ok if they can’t follow the instructions the first time. Just keep practicing until they master the skill. You can always print the same page multiple times.
The last page allows children to make any pattern they want! They might want to try some new ones or stick with the ones they know. This is a helpful worksheet to let you know if they understand the concept of making patterns.
